Zombie Loan

Plot:

Michiru Kita is a special girl who possesses Shinigami Eyes, a power which allows her to see a person's nearness to their destined death by seeing a ring, invisible to normal people, around the person's neck. When a person is marked to die, a gray ring appears, which darkens over time. Once the ring turns completely black, the person dies (whether by natural causes or an accident). Chika Akatsuki and Shito Tachibana, two boys in her class, both have black rings around their necks, but to her surprise, they are not yet dead. It is revealed that after a tragic accident that was supposed to kill them both, the two boys made a deal with a secret loan office called the Zombie-Loan. In return for keeping them alive, the two have to hunt zombies for the loan office. When Michiru gets involved with them, she finds that her life has just become more complicated.

There are 13 episodes so far.

My Review: This is a very zombie based show where zombie people have to work their lives off to earn bounty by killing other zombie. Scary? Not quite. Maybe the action isn't really there. Watch when you have holidays would be a time killer =)

Vampire Knight

Plot:

Yuki's earliest memory is of a snowy night in winter, when she was attacked by one vampire and was saved by another, Kaname Kuran. Ten years later, Yuki Cross, the adopted daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, has grown up and become a "prefect" (also known as a guardian) for the school with two purposes: to protect the Day class students (humans) from the Night class students (vampires) and to protect the true identity of the Night class students from being discovered by the Day class students. Her fellow guardian, Zero Kiryu, a childhood companion whose parents were killed by a pureblood vampire, is now determined to kill them all and refuses to trust them. Through a cruel twist of fate, Zero becomes a vampire himself, having been bitten by a pureblood vampire four years before, Shizuka Hiou. Kaname, Yuki's savior, leads the group of Night class, with the help of Takuma Ichijo (the vice president).

There are 13 episodes in the first season. The second season has just been released.

My Review: The vampires took the form of a human to fit in with humans. Gosh they look pretty! It is worth watching =) Although i have not seen season 2, it should be very good as that is where the exciting parts start (As written in the manga)

Tsubasa Chronicles

Plot:

Sakura is the princess of Clow Kingdom, which is ruled by her older brother, King Tōya. Her childhood friend Syaoran is a young archaeologist. Sakura is revealed to have strange powers when she has a vision of a mysterious symbol and places she has never seen. Meanwhile, Syaoran discovers the same symbol at the ruins he is excavating. He sees Sakura standing on the symbol on the ground. Ghostly wings appear on her back and a mysterious force begins to pull her into the walls of the ruins. Syaoran rescues her in time, but her wings are scattered across dimensions. The High Priest of Clow Kingdom, Yukito, immediately realizes that Sakura's "feathers" were the manifestation of her soul and memories; without them, she will die. In order to save Sakura, Syaoran must journey to retrieve her wing's feathers, the fragments of her memories.

Yukito sends Syaoran and the unconscious Sakura to the Dimensional Witch, Yūko, who is one of the main characters in xxxHolic. There he meets Kurogane, a rough-mannered ninja banished from his world by Princess Tomoyo, and Fay D. Flourite, a magician who fled his world to avoid King Ashura. Each of them must pay with what he values most in order to gain the power to cross dimensions. For Kurogane, it is his sword Ginryū, and for Fay, it is the tattoo on his back which regulates his control of his magic. Syaoran, on the other hand, must pay with his relationship with Sakura: even if he is able to retrieve all of her memories, she will never remember anything about him or their relationship. (This sacrifice also pays Sakura's "toll" to Yūko, because what Sakura values most are her memories of and with Syaoran.) Only when the three agree to her terms does Yūko present them with the power to cross dimensions; a white creature named Mokona Modoki.

While traversing through worlds to find Sakura's feathers, the four travellers and Mokona are forced to overcome many dangers and opponents, some of whom are figures from Syaoran's past who wish to collect Sakura's feathers for their own reasons as they are seen to be objects that hold great power.

There are 52 episodes in total. In addition, 3 episodes of Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations which is the OVA.

My Reviews: The OVA is a must watch!!! Right after tsubasa chronicles though. It is best to understand the story before watching the OVA. Overall, this show seems to be the grown up version of sakura and shaoran.

Shugo Chara!

Plot:
The heroine of the story, Hinamori Amu, is a transfer student at Seiyo Academy. At first glance, her classmates deem her "cool and spicy" and rumors speculate about her personal life. However, her real personality is that of a very shy girl who has trouble showing her true personality. One night, Amu wishes for the courage to show her "would-be" self, and the next morning finds three brightly colored eggs—red, blue, and green—in her bed. At first, she is alarmed, but realizes she must have really wished to change. Amu brings the eggs with her to school, during which she gets her first glance at the "Guardians of Seiyo Academy". The guardians are made up of 4 members: Hotori Tadase the King's Chair; Fujisaki Nadeshiko the Queen's Chair; Souma Kukai the Jack's Chair; Yuiki Yaya the Ace Chair.

Every child has an egg in their heart, unseen at first, an egg with the would-be self of their dreams. Hinamori Amu, part of a group called the Guardians, protect those eggs from becoming x-eggs, eggs filled with resentment and resignation that gives children troubles. Amu's job is to capture and restore x-eggs to their orginal form. She does this with the help of her three Shugo Chara (guardian characters or her would be selves), Ran, Miki and Su. Thanks to them she can change her character and abilities, and so fight against the mysterious organization Easter which aim is to find a special egg called Embryo using the x-eggs.

There are 51 episodes so far. It is still ongoing.

My Review: It has a very high-spirit atmostphere where all characters are active. Basically, there is a very important lesson to be learnt here. Watch when you have time =)

Special A

Plot:

Hikari Hanazono has always been second to Kei Takishima. When they were six years old, their pro-wrestling loving fathers introduced them to each other. Assuming that she was the best in wrestling, young Hikari challenged Kei to a wrestling match only to be thoroughly defeated by him. Ever since that fateful incident, Hikari swore to beat Kei in school grades, sporting events - anything. To do this, she has enrolled in the same school as Kei since elementary. Now she attends Hakusenkan, an ultra elite school, that costs her carpenter father a lot of money. Hikari and Kei are the top two students in the school, with Kei holding firmly to that number one position. While Hikari considers Kei to be a rival and important friend, she is completely unaware that Kei loves her. The story primarily focuses on Hikari and her constant attempts to defeat her one and only rival, Kei, and how she finds love in their rivalry.

There are 24 episodes in total.

My Review: An absolute must-see!! High school romance! Boy chases Girl!

Soul Eater

Plot:

Soul Eater primarily revolves around students classified as meisters at the Shinigami Weapon Meister Vocational School or Shibusen for short, located in the fictional Death City. The school is run by Shinigami, the God of Death himself, as a training facility for weapons and the human wielders of those weapons, the meisters. Each meister has at least one demon weapon companion which has both a weapon and human form. Shinigami created the school as an organization that enforces peace in order to prevent the rebirth of the "kishin", the evil demon god that nearly destroyed everything by plunging the world into chaos. Human souls that have become evil by straying from the path of humans have a high risk of becoming kishin, so evil humans are constantly being hunted down and killed by the students trained at Shibusen.

The ultimate goal of the students with their weapons is to have their weapons defeat and absorb the souls of ninety-nine evil humans and one witch, which will dramatically increase the power of the given weapon and thus be capable of being used by shinigami. In order to ensure this is done in a timely manner, all students and weapons attend classes regularly and are given homework or supplementary lessons to further their training. The meisters have a rating system that goes from one to three stars which usually measures soul energy. It is important that the meister and weapon can tune their "soul wavelength" to perform high level attacks and bring out the weapon's full power.

There will be a total of 51 episodes. Currently, only 26 are running.

My Review: I think it is a rather unique show so far. It has comedy and action. The unique parts are the weird relationship conflicts and the powers the meister and weapon can achieve.

Spirited Away (Movie)

Plot:

The movie begins by introducing Chihiro, a whiny, pessimistic child, who is annoyed about having to move to a new town. While driving to their new house, Chihiro's father attempts a shortcut; they subsequently lose their way and come across a mysterious tunnel which leads to what appears to be an abandoned theme park, lined with seemingly empty restaurants. Finding a restaurant fully-stocked with unattended food, both parents eat the food they find there and prompt Chihiro to join, but she refuses and leaves them briefly. She looks at the area but then returns to fetch her parents but finds they have been turned into pigs.

Chihiro's distress at losing her parents is compounded by the discoveries that the world around her has changed and that her body seems to be dissolving. A mysterious boy named Haku appears, comforts Chihiro, and gives her something to eat, which makes her solid again. He smuggles her into a large bathhouse owned and operated by the tyrannical witch Yubaba, where thousands of spirits come to refresh themselves. Haku tells Chihiro that the only way she can remain in the spirit-world long enough to rescue her parents is by gaining employment in Yubaba's bathhouse. When Chihiro asks Haku how he seems to know her so well, Haku replies that he has known Chihiro since she was very small.

Running Time: 124minutes

My Review: There is a meaning to this show. Worth watching. Besides, its a movie! how long can it take?

Shaman King

Plot:

Manta Oyamada, a studious yet shrimpy middle-school student from Tokyo, attempted a shortcut one night through the graveyard to get home after a late night of cram school. While traveling through it, he encounters Yoh Asakura and his "companions": a graveyard filled with ghosts. Yoh reveals himself to be a shaman, a medium between the worlds of the living and the dead. As a shaman, Yoh also demonstrates his ability to possess himself with ghosts to assist him where needed, particularly becoming fond of a former samurai known as Amidamaru. Over the first few chapters, Yoh and Manta become best friends while Yoh uses his shamanic abilities to help them out through various normal tasks.

Yoh soon encounters Tao Ren, a Chinese shaman who uses his own ghost on a quest to destroy humanity as well as prepare for an upcoming Shaman Tournament to be held in Tokyo. Anna Kyoyama, Yoh's fiancée, soon enters the picture and prescribes a brutal training regimen, in order to prepare Yoh for the tournament. The tournament is held once every 500 years and is a battle between competing shaman to choose a winner, who will be known as the Shaman King. This winner will gain the ability to reshape the world as he or she chooses, to make his or her dream come true. Thus begins the plot that will lead Yoh on a journey that will lead him to many friends and adventures.

Through a series of events and also through participation in the Shaman Tournament, Yoh meets and befriends numerous characters and changes their lives through friendship and authentic concern, which seems to be a pervasive theme throughout the series. He also must face his ultimate destiny, connected to one of the most powerful participants in the Shaman Fight who desires to win the tournament and use his prize to annihilate all of humanity for destroying the world, leaving only a world of shamans such as himself.

There are 64 episodes in total.

My Review: It is a spirit kind of show. A lot of action and comedy as well. Yoh is a very happy go lucky person and his lost twin is the bad guy. Both fight well and the ending is just awesome!

Prince of Tennis

Plot:

The series is primarily set in Tokyo. Ryoma Echizen, a tennis prodigy, attends Seishun Academy, or Seigaku for short, a private school famous for its strong tennis club and talented players. Ryoma quickly defeats numerous upperclassmen shortly after entrance to secure himself a spot as one of the team's regulars. In pursuit of their ultimate goal of winning the all-Japan junior high school tennis championship, members of the team make new friends while learning and mastering increasingly complex techniques. Ryoma also begins to develop his own style of tennis, and eventually realizes what the sport really means to him.

There are 178 episodes in total and one movie. The movie showcase Ryoma's stepbrother called Ryoga Echizen. Both of them will meet on a ship where Seigaku Tennis Team have to fight Ryoga's team in order to set themselves free.

My Review: I love the series. It is ALL about tennis with some episodes that are really funny.

Ouran High School Host Club

Plot:

Haruhi Fujioka is a scholarship student at Ouran High School, a fictional school located in Bunkyō, Tokyo. Because of the superlative cost of the school uniform, Haruhi resorts to wearing long slacks, polo shirts and vests. Combined with her large glasses and tousled short hair, Haruhi's look causes her to be confused for a boy.

Looking for a quiet place to study, Haruhi stumbles upon the Third Music Room, the working place of the Ouran Host Club, a group of six extremely attractive male students (Takashi Morinozuka, called "Mori"; Mitsukuni Haninozuka, called "Honey"; twins Kaoru and Hikaru Hitachiin; Tamaki Suou, and Kyoya Ootori) who spend their time charming and entertaining the school's girls for profit. During their first meeting, Haruhi accidentally knocks over and breaks a vase valued at ¥8,000,000, estimated to be US$80,000.

In order to pay off the large debt, Haruhi is employed as the club's "dog" and is constantly ordered to do menial tasks like serving food or cleaning up. The club president, Tamaki Suou, without knowing she is really a girl, promotes Haruhi to "host" as soon as he discovers her potential. Even after the truth comes out in the Club, Haruhi continues the charade and is allowed to pay off the rest of her debt working as a host; in order to accomplish this, Haruhi conceals her true identity/gender from the customers and the school.

There are 26 episodes in total.

My Review: This is one of my personal favorite. There is a lot of comedy involved. Definately a must-see especially when you need a mood-lift =D

Naruto/ Naruto shippuden

Plot:

Twelve years before the events at the focus of the series, the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox attacked the ninja village Konohagakure. It raised chaos and slaughtered many people, until the leader of Konohagakure – the Fourth Hokage – sacrificed his own life to seal the demon inside Naruto when he was a newborn.

Konohagakure, however, regarded Naruto as if he were the demon fox itself and mistreated him throughout most of his childhood. A decree made by the Third Hokage forbade anyone to discuss or mention the attack of the demon fox to anyone. However, this did not stop them from treating him like an outcast and as a result he grew up an orphan alone. However, that soon changed after Naruto graduated from the Ninja Academy by using his Shadow Clone Technique, a technique from a forbidden scroll that he was tricked into stealing, to save his teacher, Iruka Umino, from the renegade ninja Mizuki. That encounter gave Naruto two insights: that he was the container of the demon fox, and that there was someone besides the Third Hokage who actually cared for and acknowledged him. The main story follows Naruto and his friends' personal growth and development as ninja, and emphasizes their interactions with each other and the influence of their backgrounds on their personalities. Naruto finds two friends and comrades in Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno, two fellow young ninja who are assigned with him to form a three-person team under an experienced sensei named Kakashi Hatake. Naruto also confides in other characters that he meets throughout the series as well. They learn new abilities, get to know each other and other villagers better, and experience a coming-of-age journey as Naruto dreams of becoming the Hokage of Konohagakure.

There are 220 episodes inclusive of Naruto Shippuden. These are the movies:

My Review: I highly recommend watching Naruto Shippuden. Unfortunately, you will have to watch Naruto to understand the show. Naruto showcase naruto as a kid while Naruto Shippuden shows when he is a teenager. There is lesser action at the start of Naruto Shippuden. Don't worry, it gets a whole lot better at around episode 40+. It is still ongoing. Currently, the latest episode of Shippuden is episode 78-79.

La Corda D’oro Primo Passo

Plot:

Kahoko Hino is a student at a Seisou Academy, one with an ordinary life. One day, Lili - the mischievous musical fairy who had blessed the original founder of the school - finds Kahoko running late to class. Delighted that she is able to see him, Lili grants Kahoko a magical violin, and a place in the school's annual musical competition, which many students in the music department vie to partake in.

Kahoko refuses, only to be pressed on by the fairy, who constantly nags her until she finally gives way to his pleads. She reluctantly accepts the instrument. As she practices her pieces, Kahoko is amazed that she can play any piece on the violin as long as she knows the tune and plays it with her heart.

There are 25 + 1special episodes in total.

My Review: It is a must see for all music lovers =) Some love triangles here and there. Overall, life long lessons to be learnt.

Inuyasha

Plot:

The story begins in Feudal Japan, when InuYasha, a half-demon (han'yō), steals the Jewel of Four Souls from a village. The Jewel of Four Souls is an item that can increase one's powers enormously. InuYasha does not get far before Kikyo, the young miko of the village, shoots him with a sacred arrow that indefinitely seals him onto Goshinboku, a sacred tree in the nearby forest. After being mortally wounded, Kikyo tells her younger sister, Kaede, to burn the jewel with her body to prevent it from falling into the hands of evil.

In modern Tokyo, a junior high school girl named Kagome Higurashi is on her way to school. She stops in the well house of her family's Shinto shrine to retrieve her cat, Buyo, when a centipede demon emerges from the well and pulls her into the Sengoku period of Japan.

Not knowing where she is, Kagome wanders around a forest near the well. She spots Goshinboku off in the distance and proceeds towards it. On the tree, she finds InuYasha, who is still sealed in an enchanted sleep. Villagers seize her and take her to the old priestess, Kaede. Recognizing that Kagome is the reincarnation of her sister Kikyo, Kaede tells her the story of Kikyo and InuYasha.

The centipede attacks again, and Kagome is forced to release InuYasha from his enchantment so he can kill it. After defeating the centipede, InuYasha tries to take the Jewel of Four Souls from Kagome. In order to thwart InuYasha and to save Kagome's life, Kaede places magical prayer beads around InuYasha's neck so that Kagome can subdue him.
The Jewel of Four Souls attracts more demons, and in a battle against a carrion crow demon, the jewel is shattered into numerous shards that spread across Japan.

Kagome and InuYasha set out to collect the shards and restore the Jewel of Four Souls. Along the way, they befriend Shippo, a fox demon; Miroku, a cursed monk; and Sango, a demon-slayer whose brother was possessed and forced to slaughter their father and the other demon slayers. The group encounters many friends and foes during the adventure, including InuYasha's older half-brother Sesshomaru; Kikyo, who died 50 years ago but, was resurrected with part of Kagome's soul; Naraku, who tricked Kikyo and InuYasha into turning against each other; and a wolf demon named Koga, who is in love with Kagome and whenever he and InuYasha meet they constantly bicker.

There are 167 episodes in total. They have 4 movies:

My Review: An action packed show. I have watched all the episodes and concluded it a close after finishing the last movie that came out recently. Basically, i was so crazy about this show that i bought the episodes and posters. It is definately an ancient Japan era atmostphere.

Magical Lyrical Girl Nanoha/A’s/ StrikerS

Plot:

Nanoha Takamachi is a 3rd grade elementary school girl. She lives with her parents who run a coffee shop, and her older sister and brother who are in high school and university respectively. Nanoha's regular life changes when she hears a voice calling to her on the way home and ends up rescuing an injured ferret (who is actually a transformed boy called Yūno, an archaeologist from a distant world). She obtains a magical crystal called Raising Heart, and gains magical powers.

After their encounter, Nanoha and Yūno have to collect the twenty-one "Jewel Seeds", powerful lost crystals from Yūno's world that grant wishes and are very dangerous when misused. However, Nanoha and Yūno are not the only ones after the Jewel Seeds. So is Fate Testarossa, a foreign girl with sad eyes...

There are 3 versions: Magical Lyrical Girl Nanoha/A’s/ StrikerS. Each should be about 13 episodes each.

My Review: I think the first and second version is very good. But when it comes to StrikerS, it lost my attention. Maybe because the main character isn't really nanoha anymore. Overall, magic is the main thing in this show.

Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok

Plot:

Loki, the Norse god of mischief, has been exiled to the human world for what was apparently a bad joke. Along with being exiled, he’s forced to take the form of a child. He’s told the only way he can get back to the world of the gods is if he can collect auras of evil that take over human hearts, and so to do this he runs a detective agency. Loki is soon joined by a human girl named Mayura who is a maniac for mysteries, and she soon helps out in her own way. However, soon other Norse gods begin to appear, and most have the intent to assassinate Loki for reasons unclear.

There are 26 episodes in total.

My Review: Loki is banished from the world of gods hence he has shrunk into a kid's form. When he is revived serveral times into his original form, he looks hot XD. Anyway, magic is the main thing here, or rather god's powers. It is very touching at the end. But don't skip to the end, watch in sequence =D

Gundam Seed, " " Destiny

Plot:

The series is the first set in the Cosmic Era. This series begins with the Bloody Valentine War between Earth and the colonies that is similar to the One Year War of the original Gundam series with certain traditional elements from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing and After War Gundam X such as the presence of five multicolored Gundam mobile suits and the threat of an apocalypse. On one side is the Earth Alliance, and on the opposite is the space colonies that form ZAFT (Zodiac Alliance of Freedom Treaty). Mankind is divided over human genetic engineering, with normal humans known as "Naturals" and the genetically altered humans known as "Coordinators". Like the original series, while ZAFT has a head start on mobile suit design, the Earth Alliance quickly catches up with its five prototype Gundams. With ZAFT having stolen four of the prototypes, young Coordinator Kira Yamato pilots the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam and is forced to fight his old friend Athrun Zala. Little do they know that there exist sinister forces working to bring about events that go far beyond their worst nightmares.

There are 50 episodes for Gundam Seed and another 50 episodes for Gundam Seed Destiny.

My Review: The boys here are hot! Especially Kira. Overall, countless battle scenes. Many emotions displayed. Just a tip: watch in sequence as it can get pretty confusing when episodes are skipped or missed.

Gakuen Alice

Plot:

Gakuen Alice is the story of a 10-year old girl Mikan Sakura who is devastated when her best friend, Hotaru Imai, transfers to a special school for "genius" kids in Tokyo. After hearing horrible rumors of what happens in the Academy, Mikan runs away from home to seek out her dear friend, and finds that the school Hotaru transferred to, Gakuen Alice, is specifically for children who each have a special power called an "Alice". To Mikan's surprise, a teacher there, Narumi, discovers that she too has a unique Alice, and admits her to the school.

The story is primarily focused on Mikan and her experiences at the Academy, from the everyday bore of classes and exams, to the unexpected clashes with the Anti-Alice Organization (AAO). Despite her initial view of the so-called greatness of the school, Mikan slowly finds out that beneath the grand facade of the Academy lies a never-ending stream of lies and deception.

Mikan, meets a boy named Natsume, whom she at first hates but unconsciously cares for him, and eventually starts to form a friendship with him, and soon, he became someone whom she loved. Natsume has the Alice of fire and is in the Dangerous Ability class. Natsume hates the Academy and is forced to do its dirty work. Narumi thinks that Mikan holds the key to save Natsume and change the Academy. Natsume's friendship with Mikan continues to grow until he admits his feelings for her, and admits to himself that he loves her and will do anything to protect her.

Along with the many friends she comes to make, including Natsume's best friend, Ruka Nogi, and the class representative, Iinchō, Mikan comes to love the Academy and its teachers, but its increasingly manipulative and sinister actions toward her make it a dangerous place to be.

There are 26 episodes in total.

My Review: Gakuen Alice is a very interesting elementary school based show. There is lots of comedy and just a little bit of seriousness. All students at Alice Academy have powers, in which some of them are really weird yet funny.

Full Metal Panic Fumoffu

Plot:

Markedly different in tone to the first series, Fumoffu emphasizes the high school romantic comedy aspects of Full Metal Panic! and focuses on the romantic tension between Sousuke Sagara and Kaname Chidori. It sometimes parodies itself on other anime stereotypes, and features none of the mecha combat and political intrigue which characterized much of the original Full Metal Panic!

The name "Fumoffu" is the sound made by Bonta-kun, a fictional mascot in the series who resembles a giant yellow mouse. During the series Sousuke designs and places into production heavily modified Bonta-kun suits for the purpose of aiding in tactical situations. Except for only being able to move at normal walking or running speeds for a human, the suit is essentially a miniature Arm Slave - however, the suit's "voice changer" renders all speech into either "Fu", "Mo", "Ffu", or "Ru", and the F.M.M.F.O. OS will immediately crash if the pilot tries to deactivate it (as referenced in Episode 10). This results in Kaname needing to act as a translator via headset radio if Sousuke needs to make himself understood. The name "Fumoffu" is the sound made by Bonta-kun, a fictional mascot in the series who resembles a giant yellow mouse. There are 11 + 1special episodes in total.

My Review: This is an extra from the original Full Metal Panic! series that shows mainly the war and battle scenes. A real twist in the plot. I like sousuke though, he applys his war tactics into everyday life. His violent ways has to be stopped by chidori. That is why it is so funny! XD

Death Note

Plot:

The series is about Light Yagami, an extremely intelligent young man who resents the crime and corruption in the world. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers a mysterious notebook, known as the "Death Note", lying on the ground. The Death Note's instructions claim that if a human's name is written within it, that person shall die. Light is initially skeptical of the notebook's authenticity, but after experimenting with it, Light realizes that the Death Note is real. After meeting with the previous owner of the Death Note, a shinigami named Ryuk, Light seeks to become "the God of the New World" by passing his keen judgement on those he deems to be evil or who get in his way. A shinigami's Death Note is a notebook that can kill any human whose name is written in it. All Death Notes are governed by the same set of rules determining the extents and limitations of the Notes' powers.

Soon, the number of inexplicable deaths of reported criminals catches the attention of the International Police Organization and a mysterious detective known only as "L". L quickly learns that the serial killer, dubbed by the public as "Kira" derived from the Japanese pronunciation of the word "killer"), is located in Japan. L also concludes that Kira can kill people without laying a finger on them. Light realizes that L will be his greatest nemesis, and a game of psychological cat and mouse between the two begins.

After several murderers, Misa Amane, a possessor of another Death Note, meets Light and tries to help him to do his work but she is captured by L. Light makes a plan involving renouncing ownership of both Death Notes, and all of his memories of them, and turns himself in to L for surveillance. After losing his memories, Light and L start to investigate a criminal group named "Yotsuba" together who had Misa's Death Note. When arresting them, Light recovers all his memories while touching the Death Note, remembers his plan, and forces the former owner of Misa's Death Note, the shinigami Rem, to kill L.

The total number of episodes is 37. There are live action movies: Death Note Movie 1, 2 and 3.

My Review: The reason why i liked this show is the genius L. He is able to predict Kira's moves and find out the explaination for the phenomenon. L is a person with excellent sense of logic. It is fun to see L and Kira fight and try to outdo each other.

D.Gray-Man

Plot:

Set during the end of a fictional nineteenth century on Earth, D.Gray-man mostly centers around 15-year-old Allen Walker, who is gifted with the ability to control a weaponized form of a divine substance from ages past, called Innocence, and becomes an Exorcist of the Black Order. This secretive organization aims to stop the plan set in motion by the Millennium Earl to destroy all life on Earth. But the Earl has raised an army of Akuma, created by taking advantage of grief over a loved one's death, and summoned the direct descendants of Noah himself, the 13-strong Noah Clan, to aid him in his second attempt. Because of the Akuma's ability to wear a human's skin, they are nearly undetectable by any human. Allen proves to be a powerful asset as his 'cursed' left eye is able to detect the Akuma.

There are 103 episodes in total.

My Review: Because it is a show where there is a lot of fighting going on, there are some gross scenes (When the akuma appears or dies). There are some funny episodes. The show gets very exciting from episode 60+ onwards. Overall it is worth watching =)

Detective Conan

Plot:
Shinichi Kudo, 17-year-old high school student, while investigating a blackmail case, is attacked by two members of the Black Organization and is given a newly-developed drug that is supposed to kill him. However, due to a rare and generally unknown side effect, the drug doesn't kill him, but transforms his body into that of an seven-year-old grade schooler.

In order to hide his identity and investigate the whereabouts of the Black Organization, he adopts the pseudonym Conan Edogawa, moves in with his childhood friend and crush Mouri Ran, and enrolls in elementary school. He continues investigating criminal cases with Ran and her inept private investigator father, Mouri Kougoro. Shinichi also performs investigations through the Junior Detective League (少年探偵団, Shōnen Tantei-dan), a group he forms with his friends at the elementary school.

As the series progresses, so does the relationship between Shinichi and Ran. Later in the series, his investigation into the Black Organization catches him in the crossfire between the members of the Black Organization and the FBI and CIA agents that were sent to investigate the Black Organization.

There are 515 episodes so far. It is ongoing. There are 12 movies.

12th - Full Score of Fear

I highly recommend the movies. I feel the series is rather long. I mean seriously, 515 episodes and not ended yet. But i am one of the crazy few who has watched almost every single episode because i am a true fan =D I have also noted down the episodes (Most exciting and where the handsome guys appear) to watch. If there are people who wants to know, please drop a comment and i will publish in the future.

My review: This is a rather sad story where the main character shinichi and his girlfriend ran is set apart because of the drug. The main story will be on the murders and crimes where the shrunken shinichi (conan) will have to solve the case and hide his real identity as an elementary schoolboy. I love the main character Shinichi. Other guys like Kaido Kid who looks similar to Shinichi is a theif. I enjoy watching them fight against each other as detective and theif. Therefore i tend to pick some episodes to watch. In addition, they are the most handsome in this show.

Cardcaptor Sakura

Ten-year-old fourth grader Sakura Kinomoto opens a mysterious book in her father's study and accidentally lets loose the magical Clow Cards. By her ability to open the seal, Sakura is revealed to have special powers, and it becomes her responsibility to retrieve the missing cards.

The task involves finding each card, battling its magical personification, and sealing it away. She is assisted by Cerberus (Kerberos, also known as Kero-chan), the Beast of the Seal assigned to protect the cards, who was asleep when Sakura opened the Clow Book (He was on a "nap" at the time, which lasted some 30 years). Kero, who looks like an animated plush toy throughout most of the series (his "borrowed" form), guides Sakura as she develops her Cardcaptor powers. In the first episode, he presents her with the Key of the Seal, which allows her to fight and capture the Clow Cards.

There are 70 episodes in total. Run time each - 30minutes

My review: This series is a very loli-shota type of show where the characters are very adorable. It is action-based and a little puppy romance.

Brave Story (Movie)

A brief plot:
When eleven-year-old Wataru is told he can change his destiny by entering a magic gateway into another world, he jumps at the chance. But on his quest to find the Tower of Fortune and be granted any wish, he must conjure up all his bravery to battle a world of demons, his own friends and ultimately himself.

The running time is 112minutes.

My review: This is a rather touching movie with a lot of action. There is a hidden meaning to this show. Definately a must-see! =D
